9-1/2" SuperForce Double-Acting Hydraulic Drilling Jars

These are full-length hydraulic jars designed to hit harder and last longer in all well types. They can be run in tension or compression. When run in tension, place the jar above the weight transition zone. Tools are typically delivered in the open position (mandrel exposed) and usually come out of the hole open. The jar uses an oil reservoir with a metering device and bypass. When the string sticks, overpull compresses oil through the meter so the drill string can store strain energy. When the piston reaches the bypass, oil dumps almost instantly and the hammer drives into the anvil, sending that energy to the stuck point. SF950 specifications.
